Sir,
Sub: Early finalization of SLP pending before Hon’ble Supreme Court of the issue of recruiting ex Trade Apprentice in Ord. Fys.

In continuation to our (INDWF) discussion held with Hon’ble Raksha Mantir on 2303.2010 at his office, we would like to submit the details in the mater of Directly Recruitment in Ordnance Fys. In Tamil Nadu.

Few Ex-Trade Apprentice of Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd. Trichy, Tamil Nadu challenged the decision of Ordnance Factory Board before Hon’ble High court, Madurai Bench that Ordnance Factories trained Ex-Trade Apprentices are only considered for employment in Ordnance Factories and claiming that all those trained under apprentice Act 1961 should be traded as equal and opportunity should be given equally to all.

The Petitioners got the judgment in their favor during July, 2007. Further SLP was filed by Ordnance Factory Board before Hon’ble Supreme Court due to legal opinion given by additional soliciter general. No further recruitment could be done in HVF, Engine Factory, Ordnance Factory Trichy and Ordnance Factory Medak, AP.

For recruitment, posts have sanctioned given but, Fys could not proceed for recruitment even the selected candidates could not be appointed due to pending court case.

Fys are in need of man Power due to acute shortage and increased production targets. Therefore , we request you ot kindly take necessary action steps from Ministry of Defence in expedite the case for getting an early judgment in this matter.

Yours sincerely,

(R.Srinivasan)
